When you move the slide on a microscope stage towards you, in what direction does the eyepiece image move?

Away from you. The original image is the POV area seen by the eyepiece, If the slide is moved toward you, so is that area of view. The eyepiece would then be viewing an area further away from you than the original image was, but is now in the exact same spot.
