Was it not the US that stoked the flare-up in the Caucasus?

Why does the US have to get involved in so many issues that do not threaten our national security? The US should withdraw from Iraq, concentrate on Afghanistan, take a non-interventionist foreign policy from now on, and keep our noses out of where they do not belong. Maybe we can get some of the respect this country has lost under Bush if we mind our own business.
