Just continue to reure him that distance won't kill the relationship. You have to make him see that he has to fulfill his dreams and that you will be right by his side when he does it. Honestly he just seems scared that when he leaves you may grow apart or he may lose you, just continue to tell him you won't and maybe point out some good opportunities at the school he will be attending or wants to attend.
